Pravila
- Škole se pripremaju u skladu s temom festivala – održivi turizam za razvoj.
- Definirane su tri teme za govore (vidi okvir)
- Na Festivalu će svakom učeniku/učenici biti nasumično dodijeljen protivnik, a potom će svaki par izvlačiti jednu od triju ponuđenih tema (vidi okvir). Učenici nasumično biraju afirmacijsku ili negacijsku stranu.
- Svaki par tada ima 15 minuta za pripremu svojih govora.
- Rasprava se odvija na sljedeći način:
- uvodni govor: 2 min za govor afirmacije – 2 min za govor negacije
- 1. odgovor: 1 min govora afirmacije – 1 min govora negacije
- 2. odgovor: 1 min govora afirmacije – 1 min govora negacije
- završni govor: 1 min govora afirmacije – 1 min govora negacije
- Suci vrednuju i komentiraju svaki pojedinačni nastup te odabiru pobjednika
Rules
- Schools prepare in accordance with the main theme – sustainable tourism for development.
- There are three specific topics given in the challenge (see below).
- At the Festival, every student will be randomly assigned an opponent, and after that each pair will draw one of the tree topics (see below). The students will be randomly assigned the affirmative or the negative side.
- Every pair then has 15 minutes to prepare for their speech.
- The debate is held as follows:
- Opening speech: 2 min for the affirmation, 2 min for the negation.
- 1st answer: 1 min for the affirmation, 1 min for the negation.
- 2nd answer: 1 min for the affirmation, 1 min for the negation.
- Closing speech: 1 min for the affirmation, 1 min for the negation.
The judges evaluate and comment every individual speech, and chose the winner in the end.
PERSUASIVE SPEAKING TOPICS are :
PRIMARY SCHOOL:
1) Tourism is bad for the environment.
2) Tourists should be allowed to visit historical centres in their bathing suits.
3) More hotels should be built in Croatia to boost its tourism.
SECONDARY SCHOOL:
1) Croatia should attract more tourists to its national parks.
2) Foreign tourists must adhere to the mores of the country they visit.
3) Hotels are a better investment for Croatia than petrochemical factories.
