Author: Patrick Mraz, OŠ Tučepi
Oh,boy; where do I start? I guess that I could write where Tučepi is located first. Well, Tučepi is a ‘small place’, or how Google translator calls it ‘ a municipality near Makarska’. And if you don’t know where Makarska is, well it’s a smaller town near Split.
Tučepi is great because it has a warm and clean sea and it also has the……oh…even more sea I guess. Huh, I guess that there isn’t much besides the sea and the sun. So I ‘googled’ it and I noticed that we also have a couple of restaurants, hotels and tons of apartments. Now let me say freely that if we didn’t have the sea nearby, there would be a few apartments and even fewer restaurants.
We also have a football club named ‘HNK Jadran’. I really can’t say much about it because this topic is quite dry on the Internet and I can only speak from my personal thoughts and memories. However, the only thing that I can truly say is that it’s a shaddow of its past glory. I used to go to this club when I was a kid, but soon I dropped out because I was a dump kid that couldn’t remember his training schedule. Also, I was apparently one of the youngest members at the time and the kids I was playing with were twice older than me. So I started to train football again several years later, but this time I remembered my schedule and I was playing with the kids of my age. I dropped out yet again a couple of years later because I lost my interest. Anyhow, I came here to write about tourism, so let’s carry on. We also have a few other clubs such as Clapper Marina and Water-polo club Dolphin, but guess what….there’s nothing that I can say at all. I tried to find some links or any kind of proof of existence on the Internet research, but there’s nothing at the moment ( but hey, the only thing that matters now is that I can change the colour of the background bubbles, disappointed Yay! ). So what about the food in restaurants? Well, to be honest with you , the only food I tasted in the restaurant is a pizza from a birthday party. Now, I do actually go in the restaurant with my family during summer now and then, but that’s in Makarska. However, I can assume that the food is something equally good here and there.
Alright, to be honest here, the only thing that matters to a tourist is well-spent money on a well-spent time. Tučepi provides that ‘service’ quite well only thanks to the nature that has been given to it.
So to end of this essay I’m just going to say some final conclusions and thoughts. The beach is mostly clean, but I would just say a bit disorganized. The view can actually be really beautiful, especially during night time. And that’s what Tučepi does best, it’s dedicated to factors like these that make tourism successful here. Ironically, that’s its main weakness. Social management is extremely underdeveloped here and that’s what makes Tučepi monotonous. It’s just another vacation place and there’s nothing more to say than a few clubs, the sea and a couple of restaurants. However, it also has a million potentials that have to be discovered! What should a tourist do when it rains? We have to develop rural tourism which might help people to ´connect with the nature´, health tourism with thalassotherapy and religious tourism because of the nearby Vepric. There’s so much of what we have to do and offer.
Anyway, that’s just how I see things. This essay is a joke and it isn’t meant to offend anyone by any means. So that’s it I guess. ( I tried to make it funnier, but I’m a naturally boring person.)
Bye.
