A happy mermaid
I used to be a happy mermaid,
In the ocean blue…
But now all the water’s dirty,
And you don’t have a clue.
Tourists from all these countries,
Just throwing the trash away.
Making a mess out of my home,
I don’t know what to say…
If I try to swim I will drown,
The giant yachts pushed me down..
And while you’re reading,
People are fishing,
Taking me out of the sea!
My future isn’t good,
I’ll be served as food!
For a $2 bill….
I tried to swimm, I tried to shout.
But the boats just pulled me out..
So take my hand,
Don’t let it go.
Save the land,
Save our home.
Nature gave us a chance,
That we shouldn’t screw,
I’ll recycle and so will you.
