Tourism
Welcome to my country
Where do you wanna go?
To the seaside, mountains?
You’re far away from home.
We have beaches, hills,
And everything is swell.
But beware of the prices,
Tourism in a nutshell.
And we send our locals,
To some other place,
So we can raise prices,
Foreigners don’t care…
Summer has come,
And you’re searching for a place to stay.
It’s too expensive
You need to find a way.
So you try to find a job
Like a waitress or a maid.
But for the job you need experience
That’s quite insane.
So, hire me, if you please
And don’t complain
There’s no seasonal workers
When you don’t wanna pay.
So, there’s a nice coast
Where you really wanna rest.
But wait – what’s that?
They’re building a hotel?
The first step is the hardest,
Towards a mutual goal.
Prepare for a change,
But let’s start small.
If you have a nice field,
Don’t turn it into a mall.
Not everything has to be concrete,
We don’t have to build a wall.
Let’s enjoy what nature offers,
Make it better than before.
Maybe a ranch or a park,
Or a simple bridge,
Crown it with flowers,
And how romantic it is.
And locals really matter,
Maybe you should ask them.
Before starting a project.
and telling them to „Scram!“.
You can promote a destination,
And praise it to the moon.
But if tourists don’t like it,
You’ll have to attune.
Without our contribution,
There is no execution.
For it is in the attribution,
That lies the solution.
